Liposome for Cosmetics EXTRASOME® Series

Liposome The EXTRASOME® Series are a range of liposome formulations for use in cosmetics; they are based on NOF's technology for producing liposome formulations for pharmaceuticals.
Б@Possible Uses and Effects of the EXTRASOME® Series

1) The EXTRASOME® Series can be mixed with manufacturers' own ingredients to produce individually designed liposome-containing cosmetics formulations.
2) The EXTRASOME® Series permit non-water-soluble active ingredients to be readily blended with aqueous media. Hydrophobic active ingredients are rendered hydrophilic by encapsulation in liposomes and can then be blended in toilet waters, lotions, etc.
3) The EXTRASOME® Series keep the skin moist and fresh. Liposomes resemble biomembranes and thus have a high affinity for the skin, keeping it fresh looking.
4) The EXTRASOME® Series enhance the effects of functional ingredients such as coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10). The nano-sized liposome particles encapsulate functional ingredients, penetrate through the hard horny layer of the skin, and thus carry the ingredients to areas where they can exert their effects efficiently.
Three Steps Involved in the Efficacy of the EXTRASOME® Series

Б@Characteristics of the EXTRASOME® Series
  • The EXTRASOME® Series are ideal liposome that consist of phospholipids and cholesterol; their structures are closely resemble those of biomembranes.
  • The EXTRASOME® Series have a single lamellar vesicle structure (SLV liposome) with diameters of 100 to 300 nm; these are much more stable than multi-lamellar liposomes (MLV liposomes).
  • The EXTRASOME® Series, because of their SLV structure, readily penetrate the skin, keeping it smooth and improving and moistening it from within.
  • The EXTRASOME® Series contain highly pure hydrogenated soy phospholipids that are colorless and odorless and have a pharmaceutical level of quality.
